Vitamin D₃ is needed by the body for the normal absorption and utilization of calcium and contributes to the maintenance of healthy bones and teeth.

Vitamin D₃ is often referred to as the “sunshine vitamin” because the body can produce it in the skin when exposed to sufficient sunlight.

Vitamin D₃ that is obtained from food sources works equally good to support bones and teeth health.

An adequate supply of vitamin D is particularly important during childhood, as vitamin D is needed for the normal growth and development of bones in children.

Doppelherz® aktiv Vitamine D3 Gouttes provides 100 IU (2.5 µg) of vitamin D3 per drop in sunflower oil. The drops contain no preservatives and have a neutral taste, making them easy to administer to children.

Consumption recommendation

Children 1-3 years:	4 drops (400 IU =10 μg) per day
Children 3-12 years:	8 drops (800 IU = 20 μg) per day

Use for infants under 1 year only after consultation with a doctor. For infants, count the desired amount of drops in a spoon and administer just before feeding. For older babies and toddlers, add the drops directly to food or drinks.

Note

Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage! Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. The product should be stored out of the reach of children. Do not store above 25 °C. 1 ml corresponds to approx. 28 drops (2800 IU). Energetic value (per 4 drops): 1 kcal / 5 kJ
